Talk 2 at a glance:
We’ve been in business in Hermanus for 24 years – and our first clients are still with us 😆
Cater to the Hermanus-sized businesses that mainly need lower volumes, but still demand quality and excellent service at a reasonable price
Provide practical advice on efficient communication. We even talk ourselves “out of business” if it means retaining a prospect as a long-term client.
Talk 2 Printing and Business Communication in Hermanus is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Neville and Alet Sherriff. The company was established in March 1994.
Why the name Talk 2? Well, right from the start, even before we’d decided on a name, people would walk in and say, “I’ve been told to come talk to the 2 of you.” Because we wanted to be known for providing not just a printing service but also a place where you get advice on the best way to communicate a business message, it was a sort of “eureka!” moment!
The focus of Talk 2 has always been to provide a service to the small to medium business, and our structures and equipment are geared towards the type of company that needs lower volumes of material.
I’ve been involved in marketing – specifically marketing communications – for most of my working life. In the early 80s I became Toyota South Africa’s first Dealer Advertising Consultant – a company which at that time was considered by many to be the top marketing group in the country and one of the most proficient in the world. I then established Toyota’s Dealer Marketing Department with responsibility for retail advertising, sales incentives, retail publicity & promotions for 320 dealerships around the country. The department also structured and implemented corporate marketing programmes and was responsible for corporate video productions and direct marketing activities.
Alet and I returned to Hermanus in October 1990.
